Corporate Highlights
History - DynCorp, the nations third largest employee-owned services-only company has a distinguished history starting as a transportation organization and becoming an industry leader in aircraft operations, maintenance, modification, and logistics support. From our partnership with the U.S. Air Force in 1951, we pioneered the idea of training technicians and mechanics to provide depot-level maintenance in the field. This innovative approach was the birth of Contract Field Teams (CFT), which has significantly saved taxpayers millions of dollars and increased aircraft availability.
Growth & Development - With 55 years in the services arena, we have grown from a fledgling aviation contractor to achieving a record $2 billion in revenue with over 25,000 employees in CY 2000. DynCorp has become the "Contractor of Choice" for aviation operations and maintenance support for the Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Transportation, NASA, Department of Energy, Department of Justice, and a number of friendly foreign nations.
